Pennyroyal is one of the best known members of the mint family, with it's unmistakable peppermint aroma it is often grown in and around areas that are used by cats and dogs to keep the flea problems at bay.
As long as the soil can drain, it will do well in full sun or part shade.
We have found that a few hours of sun per day will keep it's shape and height perfect, whereas, shaded areas encourage it to move out seeking some light and growth is sparse and 'leggy'.
It loves a good drink often in summer but is not a bog plant.
