Iona Grapevine
Vitis vinifera
Home grown grapes are delightful to eat and not difficult to grow.
The Iona is a great choice for the suburban Australian backyard as it is a high yielding, smaller grape capable of withstanding drought and even some shade.
Given adequate water, Autumn prunning, Spring feeding and Summer mulching, they will provide good healthy bunches of grapes that are ready for the table, if they make it that far.
These are excellent tasting table grapes with a slight hint of Passionfuit in the flavour.
