As a native of Central Tropical America, this beautiful little shrub is not easy kept where the the Winter's are cold and dry but overall it is more hardy than we imagined initially and it can be kept potted, like Bay trees, and moved to a more protected environment during Winter.

 

Because of it's small leaf, it is easy to keep trimmed and tidy, using the dried leaf as remedy.

Harvesting the herb regularly, keeps it in good condition and looking lovely.
