Thai Basil or Anise Basil

Thai Basil is a cultivar of Sweet Basil and bears no resemblance to Tulsi or Holy Basil.

Thai basil leaves are deep green and smaller than those of Western basil, and arranged on
purple stems.

 

Often called Anise Basil or Liquorice Basil because
of it's flavour it is a wonderful basil for cooking and eating generally.

Happy in full sun, the leaves can also be dried
very well for later.
