Bush Basil or Greek Basil
Ocimum basilicum /minimum
A perfect, medium flavour basil with a sculptural shape that looks fantastic for much longer in the garden than most basils.Bush or Greek Basil can be a short lived perennial, especially in cooler climates.
It needs to be trimmed back just before or during flowering to control die back.
We have kept some of our bushes for 4-5 years maintaining them this way.
