Alehoof is an amazing groundcover that beautifies the garden with it's thatched growth habit and is just as happy in a pot or a hanging pot.
Alehoof is a traditional blood cleanser and tonic that is well indicated for those suffering from kidney stones or gastritis.
We use a poultice of the leaves to reduce bruising as well.
The young leaves are a salad green and can be brewed to make 'Gill Tea'.
It loves full sun as long as it does not dry out, but partial shade best otherwise.
